...God has called us into a ministry that keeps us both very busy traveling throughout the US. Doing 150 concerts a year and along with Kathy's Women's Conferences speaking engagements, we are always on the road and always reminded how great is our God! Our desire is to share the love and joy of Jesus Christ. You can learn more about this ministry at our websites, www.wadehammond.com and www.ourchurch.com/member/k/kathyhammond
Home is Hoover, Alabama and our church family is Gardendale's FBC. We are blessed with 5 children, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 son-in-law and 8 WONDERFUL grandchildren. We will try our best to keep you updated on the many blessings of our travels. Thank you for your prayers.

MS update

May '02 brought me to a crossroad, well actually more like a 4 way stop sign. Suddenly becoming ill, going through batteries of tests, MRI's and spinal taps the diagnosis was 'Relapsing & Remitting Multiple Sclerosis.' Getting through the first 6 mths. was a roller coaster of IV steroid therapies and oh let's not forget the physical therapy and still not a fan !

Since Little Wade's home going, a day in my shoes is trying to put the pieces of this puzzle back together but some of the pieces are gone. My neurologist told me last week that my emotional state of mind WILL NOT cause the MS to progress..........GREAT! However, I have had 2 relapses within 5 mths. and the findings of my MRI taken this week shows many new lesions on my brain. These new lesions have developed within the last 13 mths. meaning that the disease is progressing. I am thankful for no lesions on the brain stem or spinal cord. Praise the Lord!

So where do I go from here with this news............... ~~we continue to pray earnestly before His throne. ~~I will begin interferon injections 3 x's a week in hopes that it will slow down the disease. We ask you as our dear friends to please pray............ ~~for a cure ~~for a healing ~~strength to be able to continue traveling and ministering with Wade
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not
all His benefits; who forgives all your iniquities,
who heal all your diseases, who redeems your
life from destruction, who crowns you with
loving kindness and tender mercies.
Psalm 103:2-4
